Holiday Scamming.
Around the holiday I have started to see more and more scams similar to ones I have heard about online and seen previous years. One of them being the fake package tracking link. Many times especially in inboxes of people like my grandma when helping her, I see fake emails claiming they are tracking information for packages. Usually they are USPS like links and that is probably because of the fact anything ordered online could be shipped through them. It is very common they do it around the holiday or Black Friday when ordering goods online is very common. It is important to look closely at links to see if they are real or fake. If you somehow end up clicking on a link, it may be trying to gather data claiming to match it to order information or what not. It is important to not only avoid the links if they are not real, but avoid putting in information to fake websites. In this day and age, I see many people receive these, and it is very easy to get tricked if not careful.

Helpful info! I see this a lot with patrons in our libraries.
It is common to see many places.
Yep, it’s getting worse all the time out there. Gotta stay alert!
Very true that it is getting worse.
Wow i didn’t think about the increase around the holidays!
It is still important to always keep an eye out.
Interesting that it gets worse around the holidays. I hope it never happens to me though!
Yes be careful.
We got a suspicious package with some weird QR codes and stuff we never ordered. That went straight to the garage
Wow! What a thrilling experience!
