Who I am
Hi! My name is Sidney Tiar, I was born and raised in Reno Nevada, and graduated from Coral Academy of Science high school last June with a honors diploma. I am currently a student at the University of Nevada Reno, double majoring in Business Economics as well as Finance on track to graduate May 2029. I chose these due to my passion in everything money, a love for entrepreneurship, and an interest in Business overall. I currently work a part time job in my free time, and love spending time with friends and family getting out and about.
Education and Career Goals
As said above right now I am a double major in Business Finance and Economics. I hope this can take me down a career path where I can pursue my love for entrepreneurship and have my own business in the financial field. I would love to explore opportunities that arise before then, but for now I want to focus of holding a job, keeping grades up, and continuing to spend time with friends and family while I have the time to do so.
Hobbies and Interests
Traveling
I absolutely love to travel. As of right now I have visited 8 countries and explored a decent amount of the United States. Whether it is with friends or family, traveling close for a concert, or across the world to go on a cruise, I absolutely love to be moving around this wonderful Earth we live on.
Photography
One of my biggest hobbies is photography. I love to spend time taking photos, whether it is downtown with all the fancy lights, nature in the beautiful Reno-Tahoe area, or doing landscape photography while traveling. Photography has been a way I can express myself, while staying active on social media, and is a overall fun hobby I have picked up.
Music
I have a very big passion for music, specifically for country and folk music. I absolutely love Zach Bryan more then any other music artist by a long shot, but love listening to others such as Waylon Wyatt, or Dylan Gossett. I also on occasion will listen to rock, pop, or anything in between. I have seen 52 bands/artists perform live and I plan on making that number increase soon.
Outdoors
Growing up in Reno has gave me a big passion for the outdoors. I absolutely love the outdoors, whether its a lake day to go paddle boarding, or going to play in the snow, the outdoors are so much fun and I’m lucky to live in such a wonderful place. I also love exploring outdoors while traveling.
Animals
I have a big soft spot for animals. I absolutely love animals, learning about animals, and hanging out with them. I have two pet rats LeRoi and Lane and they are my best friends. I also have a dog named Auggie, and a cat named Poki. I have raised chickens, rats, fish, snails, cats, and dogs, and I absolutely love animals of all sorts.
